Need advice here, and fast |
|
I'm gonna be outside the polling place in OH and we're supposed to be able to communicate with the Dem "challenger" inside via cell phone. (I put challenger in quotes because we aren't challenging anyone, just keeping our eye on them.) I'll be pumping K/E and I have about a dozen umbrellas to pass out if need be. If I wind up with a ton o people in line, in the rain, because of challenges, whatcha think of making humorous li'l announcements that "this wait in the rain is brought to you by our Republican friends".
eileen from OH (off to take shower and don multiple layers.)

.... i'd make it a LITTLE more oblique..
"this rain brought to you by those who have been PRAYING that you don't come out and vote."
(On Free Republic yesterday, they WERE fasting and praying that it would rain in Ohio and dampen the vote.)

3. I think you can't say that inside... |
|
...maybe it falls under the 50 yard rule. If it's a real long line.
I do think it's a good idea, though. Any people leaning GOP might change their vote because of that, and they should know who's responsible.

5. That sounds like a good idea ... |
|
Especially if the people in Ohio pretty much know what the Republicans are up to with their challenges.

If the rules there are like ours, the inside person can't be overtly partisan but the outside person should be strongly partisan. The only guiding prnciple is to be effective so go for it but use good judgement about what helps and what might hurt our cause.

There will be alot of Repubs there. Best to be nonpartisan, I'd say.
