The deed is done (7:15 AM EST, Irvington NJ)
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 08:25 AM by rocknation
There were about a dozen people in front of me, about two dozen on line when I left, but only two voting machines. I don't think that's going to be able to handle the extra heavy turnout. I'm calling the mayor's office as soon as business hours kick in.

Wanted to yell something appropriate as I pressed the lever for Kerry, but settled for returning the bird Bush flipped on that video. Best of all, I no longer have to be jealous of those of you who got to sport their "I Voted" avatar early!

4. My vote is cast!
Line was long at 5:45 AM, we had to wait about 40 minutes to vote! Well worth the wait! Punch card ballot for us, with many, many reminders NOT to leave those chads hanging! No problems at all, everyone was upbeat and respectful.

Hope everyone has a great voting experience today!

7. "I Voted" Avatar instructions
Click on "Options" then click "Edit your Profile." Look for the words "Avatar Image" and type ivoted.gif into the space provided. Click "Update."
