Just voted for Kerry in New Jersey |
|
woke up around 6:15, nervous and excited. Walked out to my local precinct at 6:45, surprised to see a small line in front of the small local elementarys school. Turnout is usually pretty low here but solidly democratic, at least it has been since 1988. Ahhh, the winds of change!
You know what they say, people don't wait in lines to maintain the status quo.
Today belongs to US!!!

1. I was first in line in NJ |
|
I've waited four years for this moment and I didn't want to delay the joy for a single moment. I was in line at 5:40.
But I was second to vote because one of the poll workers put himself first. Wouldn't you know it the clown was a Bush voter and he messed up the new electronic voting machine. So we had to wait 40 minutes for a technician to show up.
Moral: if someone is dumb enough to vote for Bush, don't give him an important task like working an electronic voting machine.
But I voted and it felt good. No, it felt great. I made a new friend while waiting in line. The overall tone was very pro Kerry.
I don't think it's going to be close. I think Kerry is going to win by at least 5 points.
