Tiny little firehouse is my voting place. In past elections, it was a little difficult to get a parking spot because the lot is small, but I've never had to park outside of it -- one car goes out, another takes its place.
Well, this time there were cars lined up down the street and around the corner, the line of people went out the door, and the pollworkers said they've never seen it like this.
Every name was being checked by a table of 3 "official challengers," but 2 of the official tags I saw said they were from the Democratic Party! Organization was incredible, everything moved fast. The elderly gentleman manning the machine said, "This is what it's all about. I've had to bring a book to pass the time in past years, but not this time."
Took a picture of my vote with my cellphone camera, and in my 9th presidential election, I was as nervous as a schoolgirl.

I never had to wait in a line at 7 AM like I did today. It was 10 people deep by the time I got there. The last time I was in such a big line was in '92 for Clinton, in Brooklyn.
