Matthews said they will know by |
|
3 pm but they will not be able to give us an idea of what is going down. All we have to do is look at Crowley's, Russert's, Woodruff's, etc face to know. If they look like they want to crawl under the table we will know Kerry wins!

8. Matthews said this when he visited a St Louis college weeks b4 debates |
|
Zogby said to me privately Kerry would win by 9 points.
Then later in his speech he said: I think the president will win in a squeeker (damn I spelled the word wrong, but you understand).
So in fact, he is truely full of shit.
P.S. he said Shrub would win because of 9/11 and people rationalizing that for his cause.

11. She get uglier every time I see her. I hate her last minute digs at Kerry |

One time she ends her report with. "Kerry hasn't given a news conference in months." The next week he gives a news conference and he goes ahead in some polls. She reminds me of some boot licking Nazi whore.

4. Matthews Is Full Of Shit... |
|
If this was a landslide election like 96,88,84,80,72 and 64 they would know who won before the polls even open..
In a close race exit polls at 3 PM EST can't possibly divine a winner... Hell in 00 we didn't know who the winner was on Thanksgiving...

EXACTLY---I intend to start watching Matthews and see whose butt he's kissing because he wants to be right. By the way, for those who did not see it, he did not sort of announce this. It was after being pressured about when they really will know.

Got this from TV Newser.Com:
Exclusive: MSNBC Memo Reminds Staffers To "Be Cautious" On Election Day"
An abundance of caution will rule today at all the networks. An internal MSNBC memo obtained by TVNewser outlines the network's guidelines for characterizing the race:
"It may be appropriate to say 'George Bush has a strong lead here' or 'John Kerry is clearly ahead here.' But, until the polls close, we should be cautious about wording such as 'It looks like Bush is going to win' even if this is conventional wisdom. On-air guests should be reminded that they may not characterize a race until the polls close. However, they can discuss information from knowledge prior to Election Day, but their comments should not reflect knowledge of Election Day exit polls. We should be extremely cautious to be sure that we are not forecasting the outcome of the election."
The memo states that "no exit polling information which might show who may win or lose shall be disclosed until the scheduled poll closing. This includes the reporting of voting trends of men and women or any other information which would allow our viewers to calculate who is ahead or behind."
Also, I heard Rachel say yesterday on Air America that they will be getting exit poll data too before Unfiltered goes off the air today so I'll be listening to see if they share with us!
