How is this even going to be close?
I think the polls are all nonsense.

Very few who voted for Gore in 2000 will vote for Bush in 04

There are plenty of people who voted for Bush in 2000 that are fed up with him and will vote for Kerry this time.

Many who voted for Nader in 2000 will vote for Kerry this time.

African Americans are pissed off about being suppressed in 2000. They will vote with a vengeance for Kerry this time.

New voters coming online are predominantly pro Kerry.

Huge get the vote out effort. I've never seen anything like this.

So what is going to make this close? Can the Repugs suppress a million votes in Ohio?

Look at the New Hampshire hamlets that report early.

In 2000, Bush had 67 percent, Gore 32.
This year, Bush 62, Kerry 37.

These are heavily Republican towns. Kerry picked up five percent. From hard core Republicans. That's huge. We're going to see the same thing all across the country and it's going to be a giant victory.

Tomorrow, someone is going to have egg on the face. It will either be me or a whole bunch of talking heads.

1. It's not going to be close...
the polling spin is to discourage voters and cover Bush's cheating.

Be prepared though...
...if the polls are wildly inaccurate, they will most certainly accuse democrats with cheating.

7. That's my worry....
That if it's a Kerry landslide, they will cry foul with a vengeance, and it will take a long time to prove it. We'll see...

2. All the media idiots will have to shut up for a few minutes.
The repubs might have to shut up for a few years. Victory!

4. Yep, in my gut I feel Kerry has it locked in a FAIR vote, but
I worry so much about heinous tricks from the GOP.

11. Me too GreenParty. Hearing of the Ohio outrageous shenanigans
bothers me. Also heard on c-span from a caller that their Sec of State (?) hired some guy from Texas to hep her purge 4,000 EX-felons from voter roles.

5. Two words
Election theft. They honed their skills in 2000 and they're working on it everywhere - especially Ohio and Florida. The turnout must be overwhelming. We must roll them back so hard that they can't pull the wool over the media and the public's eyes again.

I agree with all of your basic analysis though. We must be vigilant!

9. The Polls Don't know the truth
All the polls showed Dubya beating Gore by 5 to 8 points in 2000, and now, with a real reason to vote and a rodent to get out of the white house, the base should come out in force to rally behind Sen. Kerry.

However, judgements like this set us and democracy back: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6375327/
