Mechanicsburg, for those in the know.
There was an astonishingly heavy turnout. According to the older ladies running things, they had never, ever seen anything like it. Almost 200 in 2 hours.
As I left at 9 a.m., seniors continued to dribble in.
This is a very heavily Republican area, but a reasonable amount of Dems and Indys showed up.
The Pubbie poll watcher was nice to me. It was so noisy in the polling place that we often could not each make out the names called, so we pooled resources.
She however, pissed off one of the ladies running things. I kept my mouth shut.
There were no irregularities, and only one provisional ballot.
I'll go back and stand outside the polling place later after I have re-caffeinated and done a couple of errands. Must get that coffee for later--I could only get 3 hours of sleep last night!

Waited in a long line and it was raining. The turnout is very heavy, despite the rain! Go Kerry!
