1. Well, he's been living in a...
... faith-based world for the last four years--why should he switch to a reality-based view now? :P

7. He's the Bubble Boy.
He surrounds himself with yes-people, and goes to rallies where only hand-selected followers are allowed. He has a laugh track for his jokes, canned applause for his talking points, and an automatic chorus of "boos" whenever he mentions specific bogey-men.

What else would you expect from such a man? He thinks people trust him. And yet today, a NYT poll shows that 45% of the country do not think that he was elected legitimately in 2000. That is an astonishing number.

Only a Bubble Boy could think that "trust" is a strong suit for this pathetic administration.

4. More empty rhetoric. Lies are his strong suit and Rove
has been very effective in turning night to day, black to white, up to down. Won't work this time, Bubba. We're TAKING AMERICA BACK!!!

5. Voting for * is not a matter of trust
It's a matter of bigotry, intolerance, hatred, fear, homophobia, greed, stupidity, xenophobia, zealotry, lust for control, and general misanthropy.

He can't SAY that though. He knows he's got his base wrapped up so he doesn't need to talk to them directly anymore.

9. When yopu hear "trust" out of his mouth...
"Trust" and "faith" are synonymous terms for him. When he says stuff like this, he's making veiled assertions to the "God-and-Bush" voters, reminding them that he's the "chosen President of God" (whom God can't seem to keep from choking nearly to death or falling from moving conveyances).

Of course, we here in reality know that "faith" and "trust" are not two sides of the same coin.
