The factor that never made it to the polls
The young people.

Fact is, they're the wild card in all of this, and nobody, I mean NOBODY can say for certain how they are going to break.

I have my theories. I suspect they are more concerned about a draft and will vote against the Chimp, but these folks have not been polled and cannot be predicted with any certainty at this point.

I saw a LOT of young people in line this morning.

1. There seem to be a lot of motivated first-time voters
And you usually don't get motivated by a comfortable status quo.

3. The Kerry rally organizer in my town
is a 21 year old female and its her frist time voting in a Presidential election. At the rally there was many young pro Kerry , some only 17 years old ,even though they cant vote yet ,they wanted to do their part to ensure a Kerry victory. I wish I had remembered to ask if being afraid of a possible draft had anything to do with their envolvement ?

2. Well, Bill O'Reilly apparently
said that the Stoned Slacker Vote might not be able to spend enough time away from their bongs to vote. Media matters had the story, and I discussed it at my blog ( http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com )

Tell a young person today.

12. They will be the difference
All the other age groups are essentially cancelling each other out.
The more young people, the better Kerry's chances.
