If an electronic vote is stolen, and no one sees it - does it exist?

If they steal this election will the media make a stink? Will they ignore it because its not easily traceable? Will their be exit-polls that might contradict the final tally? Will I ever know, short of a Kerry victory, that my vote counted?

Oh well, I've got 2 hours until I vote, hopefully it counts. BTW Bob Beaupreaz is going to get his butt kicked.

1. It's a tricky one

To take this post seriously, I mean will we ever know?

I mean if screwy numbers start showing up, than we will know. But what if the numbers are just a little off--just enough so that President Bush takes it?

Or should we just assume that if President Bush wins, the fix was probably in? That's a tough one--because believing it and proving it are two totally different things. Plus we would have to prove it in a couple of different arenas, including the arena of public opinion.

It's a real can of worms--but hopefully the added pressure brought on my awareness of the issue will keep them somewhat honest.
