Poll question: Passive-Aggressive Optimism Poll
How long will it take for the Repuke House to start drafting articles of impeachment against President Kerry?
(Of course, those of us on line will not let them get away with it this time. And they've got nothing on him).

You know how fond they are of pre-emptive actions, so
I figure it will be about the time we go after the * junta.

2. I hope we don't have to wait too long...
to see Cheney and Rummy in jail. Bush may take longer.

3. my vote: They already have.
it took them a couple of weeks with Clinton. They know they waited too long. Even Nixon's people knew they had to be on the offense and destroy him. (Before be became another Nader?)

4. Hmmmmmm....
hadn't thought of that. I guess I don't have the requisite evil mind. Should we congratulate the Repukes for being able to plan SOMETHING?

5. They already have - they probably started them about 3
months ago. I've been seeing a right wing talking point about his anti-war/peace activism being equated with treason.

That will be, in my opinion, one of the arguments they'll use.

7. I believe they had the paperwork in place before Clinton took
office.

I expect them to be even more aggressive this time.

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm just preparing to do my part in fighting from the trenches.

8. I don't think you can impeach a president before they take office...
...so I'm guessing just afterward.

Seriously. I'm predicting that it will be based on charges of "treason" for his work with VVAW. You know, "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" and all that? :eyes:

OTOH, they may wait until they can find some reason to impeach Edwards first. Removing Kerry won't do all that much good unless the V.P. slot is vacant, so that Hastert takes over.

11. According to an interview in Truthout
Krugman agrees with us; that they will probably start immediately.
