MSNBC are looking for a few good citizen journalists!

An Invitation from Joe Trippi
I’ve written a lot...about how the Internet empowers the bottom, and how that empowerment energizes citizen involvement that can create real change...So here at MSNBC, we are going to try something completely different...We are going to report what’s happening from every angle--including yours.
I am hoping you will be a citizen journalist and file your story or stories with us from now through Tuesday.

Too little, too late, as far as I'm concerned. We citizens, who your colleagues have also referred to as "liberal whack jobs," have a worldwide media infrastructure of our own, thank you very much, and don't need the "blessing" of a major network to legitimize us. By the way, don't you think it's rather self-defeating for big league reporters like you to even HAVE a blog? Are you now in the habit of writing countercultural "insider" stuff in your blog that's exclusive of the "real" stories you file? And how much would we be paid?

Perhaps I'm being too hard on the man--his employer's parent company IS a defense contractor, after all.
