1. I agree! I was up and ready to take my country back this morning!
I've waited 4 long depressing years while this idiot has almost ruined my country! This morning I had Stings song, "Brand New Day" in my head!

Turn the clocks to zero honey
Sell the stock, spend all our money
We're starting off a brand new day!

2. Big grin in New Jersey!
I sang, "Oh, Happy Day" and did a little jig in the voting booth. It was spontaneous (and a little loud) and folks were cracking up. LOL!

4. I felt so weirdly serene and calm last night.
Really; even a week ago, the thought of Election Day had my stomach in knots. But last night, I felt unbelievably calm and relaxed.

I'm a little more nervous today, but I still feel very hopeful.

6. I'm really wishing I wasn't at work
I'm anxious, a combo of anticipation and a bit of worry as to whether it'll all go as I hope.

Hard to concentrate on work.

The reports of high voter turnout in most places is adding to it, I think.

7. High voter turnout=excellent for Kerry!
I am at home, and every station I'm listening to is just blah blah blah-ing away. When you get home, that will be the exciting time to watch/listen/celebrate! I'm getting the most positive vibes right here at DU.
I'm so excited...!

9. Same here.
I got some work done by sheer force of will, but every now and then I have to check the news. I know we won't get any exit polls until all polls are closed (nor should we), but I think the stories about high voter turnout are tantamount to saying that the Dems are winning.
