Not all Republicans are evil |
|
At my polling place this morning a young guy (18-19, maybe? )was informed that yes, he was registered to vote, but needed to vote in a different polling place about 2 miles away. He had obviously walked, and it was raining and he was drenched. He looked very unhappy, and seemed his body language seemed to say "Ah, screw it!".
A gentleman I know to be a Republican (but not a neo-con) overheard the exchange, and said "Come on kid, and get in my car--- I'm in no hurry, and I'll give you a ride over there" .
As we go about our new lives under President Kerry, let's remember to separate the 'sheep' from the 'goats', OK?

Many repubs are supporting Kerry, passionately and reluctantly, but they are not supporting Bush. I think the repubs will split to be honest. After we take the country back the repubs will take their party back. Since the 60s it has slowly been taken over.

And even if he does, it's entirely likely the kid already has his mind made up. Knowing Alan as I do, my bet is he'll talk about baseball, or fishing.

There are so many vile ones out there that we tend to overlook the decent Repbulicans.
Hopefully we'll have enough time to do so after Kerry gets in the White House.

16. I wholeheartedly agree. |

After Kerry wins, there may well be a civil war in the Republican Party. The neoCons who created this mess represent a small percentage of the GOP. Unfortunately, however, they hold a disproportionate amount of power.
We should help the Republicans of yore reclaim their party so that Dems and Repubs can once again engage in honest, rational, civil discourse about real issues.
The neoCons and their lackeys must be identified and discredited by every legal means possible. We must send a cler message to those who would destroy our country with lies and deception: "Woe to all ye who enter here".
