4. And that's with Fox & Strategic Vision polls.
Remove them, and Kerry opens up a decent lead.

14. Not in Wisconsin, I believe.
Also, Fox's Ohio poll shows a massive pro-Bush swing in the last two days... something like Kerry +7 to Kerry +1.

Hard to believe that.

5. HELLO, IGNORE IT. Notice where he mentions outlier polls on the chart
Thanks to his whack methodology the latest polls go up on the chart even though they are outliers. For a smart guy he sure is stupid.

6. Yep, under the standards of the 2000 election we have a tie
298 Kerry to 231 Bush with New Hampshire and New Mexico tied is certainly a tie and the SCOTUS must immediately determine that Bush won.

20. He didn't choose to use those polls. He has an impartial methodology.
Use the latest polls. If Fox/Strategic Vision had been show to be untrustworthy (any more than other polls) he wouldn't use them. It's an attempt to be impartial - you wouldn't know much about that. For fuck's sake, this guy is on OUR side - that being Kerry's side. But I guess the sligtest impartiality gets you balls among many on DU. Get a grip and read his explanation below before you call him an asshole. If not, you definitely come out looking like the asshole.

16. he never got it
Unfortunately, his site became the most popular prediction site on the web. For a day or two, he published averaged polls, but then said that he got so much negative feedback that he decided to go back to the "last poll in" system. It's stupid.

23. It's really not stupid.
What would be stupid would be to average new polls with polls that are moot. It just so happened FOX/Strategic Vision and Survey USA got in the last batch of polls. Tough shit. He explains in the text that if you don't like it, you can add/subtract EVs to your heart's content. I personally appreciate that he didn't change his methodology to meet his partisan ends.

The guy is obviously a progressive liberal, but also a rational thinker committed to IMPARTIALITY.

22. No it's not
NJ is "Strategic Vision" = meaningless.

And Wisconsin's old- Zogby's got it for Kerry today.

Look at final projected results - clear Kerry win.

26. Ohio and Wisconsin to *. New Jersey to a tie.
From Kerry. Again - you can take it or leave it. It's within the statistical margin of error and thus basically meaningless. But a 30 EV swing on this web site is not unprecedented. There have been much bigger one-day swings.

32. If you notice,
that has NJ as a toss-up . . . which ain't gonna happen.

NJ has 15. Add that to Kerry's 262 and he's at 277.

It also has HI as red. Also highly unlikely.
