What Mother Nature thinks of Tom Delay's Redistricting in TX
Below is a map of Texas' Delay-created new districts. The yellow portion that creeps up into the Panhandle is the 19th, in which Neugabauer the dirty-campaigning freshman pug nd Charlie Stenholm, the 26-year veteran Democrat are pitted against each other. Abilene (due West of Dallas and currently "between" rainstorms) will go Stenholm and Lubbock, (up in the Panhandle under snowstorms) will go Neugabauer. If turnout is bigger in Abilene, Delay will be slapped in the face with a Stenholm-Democrat win in the 19th. Below this map is today's radar of that district.

1. STILL snowing in Lubbock and the farmers LIKE Stenholm
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:04 PM by wellstone_democrat
the only Dem stickers I see in Lubbock regularly are for Charlie Stenholm. He's chair of the Senate Agri committee and brings the bacon home to the cotton farmers here. Neugebauer's real hope is exactly where it is snow/slush/icing worst since late last night.

So Stenholm *will* pick up *some* lubbock votes that a Dem otherwise wouldn't but the snow is in his favor here!

I want Neugebauer gone almost worse than Bush*. Almost.

3. The really funny/ironic thing about this storm & Nuggetbut is (m)
that my buddy across the NM/TX border tells me he only won last year because a HUGE thunderstorm/tornado in Midland kept his opponent's voters home. I guess God gave him a chance and he blew it.
