How's turnout in Wisconsin, fellow Wisconsinites? |
|
I can attest that from what I've experienced and seen here in Madison it's strong. 300 people or more waiting in line at my polling place when the polls opened at 7am--a very progressive neighborhood, and you know that most of them are voting for Kerry!!

1. Good turn out early in Menasha |
|
After voting I went to the local Labor Temple and volunteered to do some last minute labeling and then went out canvassing. I KNOW I got 2 fence sitters to go vote for Kerry. It's not to late to influence others. GOTV. Contact your local labor union hall or Dem headquarters to help out. They will need people all day long.

2. I'm waiting for my daughter to get off work |

and then taking her with me so we both can vote together (her first time and she's nervous!). My husband was in line at 6:50 and got done at 7:30. He said the workers were completely clueless but maybe they were just a bit overwhelmed first thing and all. There was very little parking available and Gammon road was all backed up.
Friend voted in Middleton--took her 45 min and another friend in Oregon--1 hour. Friend in Fitchburg--1 hour. All those before 9 am.
Looking good!! Go WISCONSIN :toast:

Voted this morning in West Allis. In this small ward I usually walk in and walk out. Had to wait about 20 minutes. I then drove to the northwest side of Milwaukee to help my grandmother and aunt vote. Lines out the door at this site, but moving quickly about 35 min wait. Almost all middle aged minority voters.
