Best Kerry Quote of the Day! |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:53 PM by aden_nak
"We'll invest in alternative energy sources and in cars and SUVs you have to fill up only once a month, not every week. It's high time America relied on its own ingenuity and innovation instead of the Saudi royal family." An environmental tidbit. I wanted more, but I understood the nature of the campaign and respected the way is was run...

5. I really believe that researching for alternate energy sources |
|
and stem cell research will open up GOOD jobs in the U.S. and nothing but good will come from both. Both of these issues are important to everyone in the world, not just here. GO, KERRY.

6. Finally, someone who "gets" it. |
|
This will be the centerpiece of Kerry's administration. Reinvesting in America by using alternative/renewable energy to put America back to work.
You know Bush could never do this.

7. Breaking our reliance on Oil is the most important thing he could do. |
|
Without our reliance on Oil as a fuel source, we would have no reason to constantly be fucking around with Middle Eastern politics. I mean, let's be honest. What other reason do you think we spend so much time on that region? SERIOUSLY?
It would have a hugely negative affect on the economies of those nations, to be certain, but those economies are going to dry up with the oil fields in 20-30 years anyhow. And developing nations that cannot invest in alternative technology will likely use up the rest of the fossil fuels available there.
But getting US off the Oil Addiction will free the United States from Middle Eastern politics, largely. And that will cause the terrorist groups out there to give considerably less of a shit about what we're doing. Breaking the Oil Addiction is a crucial step in ridding ourselves of the fear of terrorism.
