DEBUNKED -- ignore the thread
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 01:41 PM by grasswire
Just reporting on FOX news....Democrats are saying that some machines had votes already registered on them. One machine had 1500 votes already recorded.

FOX needs to spin the lie to piss their (*) base off even more.

Nice to know they're doing they're job as expected.

AP has already said
they looked at the overall lifetime counter, not the counter for the current election.

Stand down, please.

6. Democrats???
GOPers were reporting that this morning in Philly, and the machines have been inspected and their complaints were bogus.

13. I had to laugh when I heard the GOP was complaining about..
electonic voting machines.

Where have they been? If I were the type of person to hold a grudge, I'd say they shouldn't be allowed to complain at this point.

8. It's old news, already debunked
It was a lifetime counter, not a vote counter.

And if you watch Faux, you're going to keep getting things wrong all day. Change the channel!!

12. This is STILL being reported? This was debunked THREE HOURS AGO.
The counters which showed prior votes were "odometers" which simply counted how many times the polling machine had been previously used.

THEY WEREN'T VOTES.

Everyone, even Drudge, has stopped running this story... except Fox, apparently.

14. #1 it wasn't a democrat claim
is was an allegation by a thug poll watcher. Basically there are two "counters" on the machines, one with the current tally, the other which shows the total over the life of the machine. They looked at the latter and screamed fraud. #2 It was immediately debunked but still being covered by Fox. Laying the groundwork fro challenging the election or at least giving thugs some cover to blame their huge loss today. Bush is doomed!
