remains in office...started to say re-elected, but we all know that didn't happen.
Who are they besides Ford and BUSH?!
Update: There was Polk and Taft and Ford and Bush 1 and now Bush 2

there sure are a lot of negative predictors surrounding this guy!
Not Pres with a four letter last name ever won re-election
No Pub ever won without Ohio
No incumbant ever won re-election if the market dropped 50% in Oct.
And I think there's another one. I don't think there have ever been back to back squeeker elections! I haven't heard anyone else mention that, but I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now. I know the Kennedy/Nixon election was VERY close, but the ones after that were not. Not squeeky close until Shrub!
