1. I adore Cuomo
I worked on his first campaign for Governor. But his time has passed. He's much too old (72) to fill a Supreme court vacancy now.

7. I agree with you
I would rather put in somebody that is around 50 that can impact the court for 20-30 years.

20. I agree on both counts
He is great.but his time has passed. I want to do what the thugs did in the Appelate....nominate 55 year olds, so we don't have to go thru another fight over SCOTUS control for another 25 years

2. I second your nomination of Mario Cuomo.
I have a wonderful fantasy of Cuomo on the High Court, punching Scalia in the nose.

He's a big mind guy and you're right -- he'd be a solid choice for the Court.

Not sure if Page has the experience yet, but he's a guy to look at.

8. In the words of Al Franken right now...
"I hope President Kerry appoints judges in their 20s."

Later.

9. I want a MUCH YOUNGER liberal.
Although I love Cuomo.

I want a VERY young, VERY healthy, VERY liberal Supreme Court appointee.

13. I'm pulling for Al Gore myself.
I think he'd be an amazing SC Justice. A fitting post for him, as well, considering what the SCOTUS did to him. (and to us!)

17. His odds might be somewhat better if he had been to law school.
Other than that--fine.

19. Sure, but it's not a requirement.
There's no requirement that a SCOTUS justice be a lawyer.
I trust Gore as much as anyone with a legal bacgkround - and I'm a lawyer! (almost)

18. In clinton's book
I think I read that he wanted to nominate Cuomo to the supreme court, but he wasn't interested at the time.
