I wasn't on DU then, so I'd like to get a sense of what your gut feelings were then as opposed to now. At this exact same point in time during the elections then, did you have the same level of optimism and confidence that seems to be prevalent this year? Or did you have a hunch that the outcome would not be good for Dems then?

2. I remember waltzing into work the day after Election 1992...
... singing "Oh, What A Beautiful Morning" at the top of my lungs.

3. No
Too many friends of mine were voting for Nader. I remember being suprised when they actually called it for Gore. Of course, we all know how that turned out.

5. Nope, I was VERY Nervous at this time in 2000
I was despondent this time of day in 2002, although I knew Democrats were winning big here in Illinois.

6. I was pretty optimistic in 2000 because
I knew that Gore would win Florida. Of course he only won the vote, not the vote count. But, yeah, I knew Gore was an electoral lock

9. Fuck no.
I had a bad feeling in 2000, particularly.

This feels much more like '92.

I'll have butterflies in the stomach when the results start to come in though.
