Absentee! My Son-In-Law in his 20's registered and VOTED for the first time this election and so did my daughter! 2 VOTES FOR K/E04!
It's that important!
Don't worry about California. From everyone I've talked to the voting is massive. Plus we have the Stem Cell Research on our ballot out here (among tons of other initiatives).

8. Teachers say lines were too long this morning . . . |
|
We still have a lot of people who need to vote this afternoon folks. Let's remember exit polls--no matter how positive--are not ever certain. Even if you know the polling numbers, I say keep them quiet.

13. And the after-work voters haven't even gone to the polls on the East Coast |
|
... So the exit polls really can't be considered all that substantial yet.
Plus, the popular vote matters a great deal. We need a resounding MANDATE for JK!

A lot of people in WA vote early with absentee ballots, and everyone in OR votes with mail-in ballots. No worries here!

|
CA, OR, WA, HI in the bag. Maybe we can snag NV AND CO, too!
Actually, I rather like the idea of MY vote "delivering the death blow".
We might get two new Democratic U.S. Senators in AK (Knowles) and CO (Salazar), too!

17. Voted for Kerry a Month Ago |
|
Talked to my daughter and her boyfriend last night in SF to get them to vote - they will. Now working on reluctant "my vote doesn't make a difference" wife to vote. We've been arguing over it for three days. Yesterday and today been sending her email of great voter stories, like the 80 year old black man in Florida, the women who were jailed and tortured in Virgina less than 100 yrs ago for have the audacity to fight for the right to vote.
It is appalling to me that the Repugnants are acting like the KKK in 2004 to surpress the vote. Been listing, (at work) to Randi Rhodes (love her) tell the stories of the Repugs sending out bogus flyers to black people from a Black Organization telling them that if they have any law breakers in their families no one int he family can vote. I hope Kerry appoints a black liberal, kick ass, Attorney General to pursue investigations, indictments and procecutions of these violators of the Voting Rights Act. And, lets hear some Christian ministers renounce the immorality of such repugnant behavior ( I won't hold my breath for that)
