New exit poll numbers (est. 5pm)
From an email sent by a Demo staffer on the Hill. If true, we need to do some work on the Senate...

PRESIDENTIAL
FLorida: Kerry up by four
Ohio: Kerry up by five
Michigan: Kerry up by four
Pennsyvlania: Kerry up by 16
Iowa: Kerry up by 2
Wisconsin: Kerry up by 5
Minnesota: Kerry up by 15
Nevada: Bush up by one
New Mexico: tied at 49
Virginia: Bush up by one
North Carolina: Bush up by 5
Maine: 55-44 Kerry, with Kerry winning both congressional districts avoiding an electoral college split.
Colorado: Kerry inched up to 51-49 lead as of 3 pm
SENATE
Thune +4 (SD)
Castor +3 (FL)
Burr +5 (NC)
Bunning +6 (KY)
Coburn +6 (OK)
DeMint +4 (SC)
Salazar +4 (CO)

1. I'm shocked by the NC Polls
People are doing straight tickets. And thats a suprise. with GOvernor Easley on the ticket. I thought he would pull Bowles on his coatails

5. The immigration smear on Bowles doomed him
When I read about that I knew he was in trouble. It was a cheap smear and I am sure it did damage.

8. Don't forget that approx. 1 million early votes are not part of these
numbers. We may see NC go blue for both Pres and Senator yet.

I told him not to come home until he runs out of voters or the polls close. It isn't over 'till its over.

14. I hope it is true...
By I am just skeptical by nature. Plus, what is the source for that? Is the source reliable? Or are these numbers just made up to either discourage repugs or fire up dems? (Sorry, I didn't mean to be a party pooper, but I want my optimism to be grounded in reality)
