Holy crap! CNN shows voting line in Georgia...
seriously, it looked to be almost a mile long. THOUSANDS of people waiting in a line that snaked out of a school, through the parking lot, around the corner... unbelievable.

1. Will they all be able to get done in time?

The hours are wearing thin!

ON EDIT: That was impressive to see, by the way.

2. if you're in line when the polls close
you get to vote. They may stay open very late, but determined people will cast their votes.

4. We're used to seeing such images from developing nations
who are getting the right to vote for the first time. Perhaps it symbolizes a rebirth here as well.

5. yup
it's both heartening and disheartening. Great to see so many people coming out.... painful to see that we still don't have a voting system that avoids such a scene. Imagine how many people drive by, look at the line, and turn around.

11. let's hope more people drive by,
see the line, stop to pick up some hot or cold beverages (depending on the weather) to share with their fellow patriots, and enjoy the Rebirth of American Democracy. :D

6. Just saw it on cnn
The most impressive shot so far today.

I don't know about thousands, my estimate was 400-500 currently in line outside the school and an unknown number inside. And, more cars pulling up!

10. heheh
ok, maybe I exaggerated... but I'd still say it was closer to 1000 than 500.
