|
Not naming names, but on Lou Dobbs just now they predicted a clear winner tonight because of TURNOUT! I liked the sound of it.

These exit polls don't show a blow out but if they hold up then it WILL be a huge EV win for Kerry.

and they both agreed. Clear winner tonight because of turnout. They know the winner already, but they are not saying.

5. But that makes no sense. |

Huge turnouts don't make a clear winner. Huge MARGINS create a clear winner. Idiot Dobbs.

Huge turnout usually results from a massive mobilization by one side, so I can see that implying a clear winner. (Dobbs is an idiot, though - just not because of this.) :-)

Huge turnout could be massive mobilzation from both sides. In fact, the larger the turnout, the more likely that's true. Huge turnout doesn't mean anything in itself about having a clear winner.

9. Well, I assume he's assuming huge turnouts=huge margins, because |
|
as someone aptly put it the other day, people don't turn out in record numbers to vote for the incumbent.

13. Then it isn't the turnout. |
|
It is what we know about new registration, and Bush's numbers, and the exit polls.
