It appears that Daschle may be a goner
If so, I'd like to see Senator Clinton take his place.

3. Minority leader
I'd like to see Max Baucus or Harry Reid take over whether or not Daschle gets re-elected. He's been as useless as tits on a bull for the Democrats.

As Al Franken put it: "we need attack dogs that can do more than chase their own tails and sniff each other's butts".

9. Baucus? That's kind of a surprise choice
He'd be in the same position Daschle was in - a Democratic leader from a red state.

11. Baucus? Definitely not
A name I hear a lot is Dick Durbin. I like Feingold.

5. Durbin, not Clinton.
Not enough seniority, and Durbin's made of even tougher stuff than Hillary.

6. I hope not, but....

Tom will have no one to blame but himself, if so. He's a crafty guy, but he played things way too close to the vest during the runup to Iraq and since.

He ran a 2002 campaign in 2004. He didn't take Howard Dean's lessons to heart.

7. Too bad we no longer have Wellstone. We need a real progressive
to step in to the foray.

10. you wish
unfortunately for you and all the other Daschle bashers, a judge ruled against the racist GOP who was trying to disenfranchise Native Americans, so their biggest weapon is gone, and Daschle's going to win.
