you beat me to it. Vermont., my stalwart little state, the first to put EVs in the Kerry column. And no, of course it was never in doubt, but man, the rest of you United States owe us: Jim Jeffords gave dems back the Senate (if only temporarily), and Dr. Dean gave the democratic party back its backbone! As Coolidge said, the spirit of freedom, should it ever be diminished can always be replenished by the people of Vermont. (rough paraphrasing there.)
