Dean Campaign Rocks for Caucus of 3,500 strong on the ground!
Edited on Sat Jan-17-04 09:16 PM by liberalnurse
The Dean Camp was out in force today with grass root volunteers through out the state. 700 alone in Des Moines! As a Dean volunteer in Des Moines, I found the door-to-door receptions were welcoming, empowering and enthusiastic! The fine folks in Iowa are excited for Dean.....placing Dean yard signs out, talking about issues and wanting to take back America.

Its cold, out there but this is what I love to do best...Meet America!

2. Just knowing you are out there cheering us on is great!
This is only the beginning......I'm getting all the experience I can in preparation for the Ohio Primaries in March.

It is so festive and alive here. It reminds me of the first day of college....Organized chaos with excitement and joy....

So fine!

5. Go Dean!
I am talking to my turned off relatives and friends to the political process who says what's the use all politicians are the same.... I tell them it's true, you use it or you loose it meaning vote now before you loose the right to vote.

7. Thanks. I just love reading about the efforts there
You reminded me of a post on the blog this evening- choked me up!

"Perhaps the most remarkable thing I found in New Hampshire is how this campaign has made it cool not to be cynical. For as long as I can remember, so many of us - myself included - have told ourselves that political action is a pointless enterprise. It's a natural reaction to feeling overpowered by negative political ads and empty slogans. Here in Manchester, I felt an unapologetic sense of possibility, and it is restoring the heart to a political process that, without heart, is simply cold and manipulative. By believing we can make a difference, we already have. That's the most important thing I'll bring back with me to Pennsylvania"

Hope is a wonderful thing to have in common!

That was an entry of someone who lives near me. I have never met him, but by the time of the Pa primary I will have organized with him I bet.

9. Wow...
That sounds great! I wish I could be out there showing my support. I've never been this excited about politics before, in fact I've never been excited about politics period.

2000 was the first election I was able to participate in, and proudly voted for Al Gore. But after the whole election debacle, I found this website and I have been addicted to politics ever since. I have been "lurking" here for a couple years now and finally decided to participate in discussions about the upcoming election.

I never would have dreamed of contributing money to a candidate before, but Howard Dean has rekindled a my hopes of a better future ahead, and I've already contributed $100.

I no longer feel jaded and hopeless about the future of this country because of Howard Dean. I'm ready to help take back America!!!
