I'm extremely proud of John Kerry |
|
While I realize no votes have been cast in Iowa, I'm so happy for John Kerry and his supporters. We've been through a difficult eight months in which the media pundits, fellow DU posters, and high ranking officials discounted his candidacy as finished. He's stayed on message and continued to go on with his campaign, believing in himself and his vision. He's travelled througout Iowa religiously - not resting till undecided voters left commmitted. He's done so with dignity, substance, energy, and hope.
While this campaign has been full of bickering moments, Kerry has for the most part stayed above the fray. He's continued to focus on the issues and his solutions.
Even if Kerry does not win Iowa, he's confirmed what I already knew - he's a fighter. He will not quit. He is a true inspiration.
Peace to all.

If Kerry doesn't win the nomination, will you disappear? We'll need every hand available to beat *.

Senator Kerry is in my prayers every night. I want a president with integrity and honesty...one I can trust. That man is John Kerry. After meeting and chatting with his daughter and wife I feel the same about them, too. That also says something about the man.

5. I am VERY impressed by him |
|
About a month or so ago, he was written off for dead when there was an internal shakeup in his campaign. Everyone was waiting for him to just give it up.
In the past few weeks he has proven two very important things to me. First, that he is an excellent campaigner who has a message that is capable of getting across to average Americans. Second, that he has an indomitable fighting spirit and will never relent because he truly wants to lead this country.
I would gladly vote for him in the general election.

6. I'm proud of Kerry AND the voters |
|
Edited on Sat Jan-17-04 11:32 PM by BeyondGeography
If the Iowa numbers are to be believed, voters are ignoring the media drumbeat for so-called frontrunners, endorsements from politicians with ulterior motives and actually thinking for themselves. And the candidates, Kerry and Edwards, have promoted themselves in an appealing manner with skill and integrity. If they finish 1 and 2, it will transform this race for the better. Hope it happens.

afternoon and evening everyone was very positive about Senator Kerry and the words "trust" and "honorable" were mentioned more than once.

9. I have learned so much |
|
Even though I haven't been able to be involved hands on because of my location, I have really learned so much by being involved with other Kerry supporters in small online groups, etc., and watching the campaign and listening to him and Teresa speak. I understand what it really means to fight, to be tenacious, to not quit. No matter what happens, we all know each of us gave 100% of whatever it was we had to give. And that is what makes each person a winner. The results are not in our hands. Thanks Kerry people!

I am still a Clark supporter, but I think Kerry's fighting spirit is to be commended. And I have always believed that he would make an excellent President.

15. I never expected things to turn so positve so quickly. |
|
As long as this momentum holds through Monday and back to New Hampshire we are in this fight. The Concord-Monitor endorsement is even more great news...

I think he's handled himself very well and I'm glad to see that he's doing much better in the polls.
Just so long as he doesn't do better than my guy! Oh, wait a minute. He IS doing better than my guy.
Never mind. :-)
