If Kerry Pulls Through It'll Be The Biggest Primary Comeback in History
Seriously. This guy was dead meat just over a week ago. Nobody thought he stood a chance. His funds had completely dried up and he had to mortgage his house. People were ridiculing him, and he was left for dead by EVERY political analyst, reporter, politician, poll, activist, and political junkies.

If, in the end, Kerry is our nominee he will truly be the "Comeback Kid." This will be such a huge comeback -- bigger than Clinton w/out a doubt.

1. That's why I love politics
Never a dull moment! And conventional wisdom is so often wrong.

2. No bigger than Clinton...He too was "dead"
but just as big, my friend, just as big! He certainly deserves it...

4. Pulling for Kerry
even though it hurts Clark in NH. Don't care. I know many Dean supporters who lost all perspective on how valuable Kerry has been to our country because of IWR. Well John Kerry's immense worth as a human being should not be defined by George W. Bush's immense capacity for deceit. Iowans thankfully appear to agree.

5. If it makes you feel good to think that, then by all means.
Now where did I put my handy Biggest Primary Comebacks in History chart?

6. Actually, only two candidates could claim that if they win in Iowa
or in New Hampshire.

Dennis Kucinich and Al Shaprton.

Kerry has been polling MUCH higher than Clinton was at a comparable distance from New Hampshire when he did much better than expected and was dubbed "The Comeback Kid", and he didn't even win there.

Kerry was expected to be the winner a long time ago. Clinton wasn't expect to go anywhere.

It'll take a lot more than Kerry winning in Iowa for him to take that title away from Clinton.

7. I mean if Kerry wins the nomination
If Kerry just wins Iowa then doesn't go anywhere, no, he won't be a "comeback kid". If he wins the nomination, though, then, yes -- it will be a major comeback.

And the definition of a comeback is that you start somewhere, fall, and claw back. It's the "rise, fall, and rise" of John Kerry.

8. I like the way the Concord-Monitor put it in their endorsment
Kerry's campaign got off to a rocky start. It is not in his nature to bluster or thunder. He is too thoughtful for that to come naturally. Rather he is steady and relentless in his efforts to do what he believes is right. In Iowa in recent weeks, Kerry found his stride. The worst days of his campaign are behind him.

As president, Bush proved to be not a compassionate conservative but a polarizing budget buster. Republican control of both houses of Congress has allowed him to take the nation into war on questionable pretenses, restrict civil liberties, rewrite tax policy to favor those who favor him and reverse policies crafted to protect the environment. It scares us to contemplate the damage he might do in four more years. He must be replaced.

Though much will hang on the turn of events at home and abroad, several of the candidates seeking the presidency are capable of defeating Bush in the fall. Of them, John Kerry is best prepared to rebuild alliances abroad and repair the economy at home.

New Hampshire voters will soon have the opportunity, as Kerry puts it, to send America a message or a president. By voting for John Kerry, they will do both.

9. I thought convential wisdom had Gep winning the Iowa primary
I will say if Kerry dose win Iowa, it will be a nice comeback, not like Clintons was but a big one, if Edwards wins, I think it would be simliar to Clinton. If Kucinich wins, well one I am one happy sob :) and two it will be big.
