Kerry does not have to overcome Bush in Ohio..... |
|
after a count of all provisional ballots. Kerry simply needs to get close enough to get a recount....the media is not reporting this. In Ohio, like many other states, if one candidate is very close to the other candidate then the law requires a recount.

1. It's within 30K votes, I believe, that they can request a recount. |

Kerry has to pick up about 100,000 votes, maybe a little more. But it's a possibility. I can't see him conceding.

3. Hopefully with that recount............ |
|
America will see that the black boxes (though few in Ohio) simply can't be recounted and notice that something isn't right.
Which leads to Florida and Bush's miraculous 300,000 'vote' lead.

4. YES! we have paper ballots in Ohio |
|
Remember, everybody.. they can still fix it, even with paper ballots. Those tabulators can definitely be fixed.
We need a HAND RECOUNT in OHIO.
I live here... Kerry definitely won this state.

6. The vote difference must come within 1/4 of 1% of the total vote ... |
|
for a mandatory recount. That's what one of the networks said last night.

7. That's very true, which is why we're still holding some hope. |
|
However, it's still a pretty grim looking scenario. We're down 136k votes and it seems like there's only 175k provisional ballots out there. About 78% of those ballots would have to be for Kerry to get a recount even.
