5. He did great. He was treated with
respect (I've always liked Bob Schieffer) and that gave him a chance to remind people to look at his detailed platform and gave them some tidbits. Presumably, the people tuning into FTN are a bit more cerebral or interested in politics than average and that' smart for him to do that. It's amazing how the tone of debate can improve when journalists are not shouting and interrupting.

7. Excellent job. Confident, straightforward, took on Bush and Scheiffer.
Scheiffer kept professing astonsishment when Edwards said "Bush is out of touch", "people are struggling to get by".

The biggest problem is the MEDIA are out of touch. They hear that the economy grew 8%, stock market's up, they un-cork the champagne. They really do not grasp that millions of people who have lost jobs, or are underemployed, or are stretched to a fare-thee-well financially.

But Edwards, again, showed a firm response - didn't back down - just spelled out his case.

Hope and optimism.

6. smooth as silk as always!
it's so nice to be able to watch a candidate speak without having to hold your breathe, in fear of what he might say.
