Buy Blue!!!!! Put your money where your conscience is!
Vacation in blue states. Check the sticker of the car you are considering... Made in Michigan or Mississippi? Insist on union made clothing. Which computers and appliances are made in blue states? Is that furniture from North Carolina or Pennsylvania? Forget moving to a "swing state". Drain the red states of progressives and increase the electoral clout of solid blue states. Invest in New England. Buy from the "liberal left coast". Thoughts?

2. I already do that .... and go further ......
Drive past WalMart to use the optician who is a local guy.

Drive past WalMart to buy from the local pharmacist.

Buy tools from your local hardware store instead of Home Depot

For the national companies, investigate who they invest in. Home Depot, for example is all Republican all the time. Lowes is at least more neutral.

Support you neighbors.

I am a small business owner, and I approve this message

3. What if you live in a Red state?
Buying from local companies doesn't help much.

4. Move to a blue state
empty out the red states of their reps and electoral votes. Then, we vote to abolish federal tax, and keep the state taxes for ourselves, instead of paying out to the fundies in the welfare red states!!!

6. Until the 2010 census, move to swing states.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't get more electoral votes until the new census?

If so, moving to swing states makes the most sense. Moving to blue states will do nothing for the presidential election.

7. It may take that long to put it into action
Meanwhile, I will shop locally from small business owners in my now blue state. If I need to warehouse shop I will switch from Arkansas' Sam's Club to Washington State's Costco. You get the idear :)

10. Yep. You're probably right on the moving thing.
I shop in my blue state of WA now, but any purchases will get a strong bias towards blue state manufacture.

8. Stop going to Fox movies, buying Simpsons DVDs, etc.
Boycot Fox and that means the Simpsons among other product lines and brands that are eventually owned by Rupert Murdoch.
