Nixon was re-elected to a second term and was impeached half way through... so this ain't over by a long shot! The Dems aren't going to roll over and die because that liar suckered the dumb into believing that the only issue they needed to concern themselves with was that gays would be breaking down their doors to snatch their children out of their beds to be sex slaves because they got the right to marry.

Never mind that bush is going to exterminate the middle class, the elderly, the poor and most minorities by shipping jobs overseas, cutting off medicaid, unemployment and food stamps, giving tax breaks to the wealthiest, and btw, that measily $300 you got didn't do a gotdamn thing to lower your tax burden--in fact, your taxes have risen. Besies, FEMA has to be funded somehow when the next natural disaster rolls through and that money doesn't grow on trees. It's just that the rich just wished you and your family had died in the disaster so they didn't have to reach into their pockets to do the "christian" thing.

In case it got past non-rich wingnuts: you're not counted in the group with whom he's sitting down having beers. Those of modest income who voted him in under the false impression that they're included in 'the big party' are considered by bush and his ilk to be the expendable 'help'--just ask Barbara--oh, that's right, she'll just dismiss you. These are the poor misinformed bubbas who erroneously believe that they're invited to the party, too. In the words of Ron Reagan, Jr: "You're the help--you're going to be picking the shrimp shells out of the carpet after the party is over".

When big business gets the go-ahead to dump more toxic waste into the streams to contaminate the water tables and people's children are born with 3 eyes or they develop leukemia, don't come crying to anyone about it--you voted the liar in, you deal with the consequences of your actions. At least now, gays can't legally marry, and that's all that was important to you all.

Hope you like living out of your broken down cars because the bank forclosed on you after your job was sent to India, eating peanut butter sandwiches every night, listening to your child's croupy cough because you can't get any medical assistance from the state or feds while bush and his ilk get to dine on filet mignon and fine wine in their warm spacious homes, replete with jacuzzi tubs and skylights in the bathrooms.

This is the Divided States of America which you wanted at all costs, so be happy.
