We need a moderate Southern or Midwest governor who is pro-gun, pro-death penalty, and charismatic.
Mike Easley of North Carolina is the man for the job.

too well, the party moved to the right and peopel couldnt' tell the difference between them and republicans.
Sorry, i am of the camp that going rightward isn't the way to go.
Kerry did get half the population, after all. That's not nothing.

He's my senator after all B-)
but I think he is seen as too liberal. He does have broad appeal, even among Republicans, here in Wisconsin. He did get re-elected here despite his lone dissenting vote on the Patriot Act. But I don't think the Upper Midwest is the place to be looking next time around.
