So...Where are the Democratic "Teams of Lawyers" thousands who were
supposed to be monitoring our elections and making sure Gore/2000 never Happened Again?

I was a Precinct Co-Chair...Hubby was an "Inside Poll Monitor." We never saw any of these people.

And...in fact..Kerry conceded and there's no mention of these "legions" of "Dem Lawyers" counting and qualifying the vote all over America.

Maybe they are all in Ohio...if so then, why did Kerry concede?

1. It bothers me that you are posting this.
I recognize your user name and you have been here forever.

Thanks for shattering my illusion that I am one of the only one here who doesn't understand what the fuck is going on.

4. Why does it bother you that I'm posting this...I'm in total despair...and
I want to know why we haven't heard from our "teams of lawyers" we were promised. Were they supposed to "head for the hills" when Kerry conceded or were they working for "US"...whomever the Hell "US" is these days.

2. They're quite drunk by now, methinks.
I should be too, but I'm trying to get my questions about US-to-Canadian retirement plan conversions answered.

5. When you figure it out "PM" me...we have a "contact" in Canada...but we
might be in your age group because we need to know what happens to transferring funds for retirement. We aren't there yet...but will be and are hearing on DU that its very difficult to get into Canada.

But, hopefully we can share info on this...difficult or not...it's worth a try..

7. I worked with a lawyer as Election Protection volunteer
a) we had to stand outside, 100 feet from the door to the building (not the polling stations. Who knows what went on in there?

b) even if lawyers had been able to be inside the building, how would they know if the computers malfunctioned during voting? Maybe we need to have thousands of hackers monitoring the polling next time.

15. Here in NC each Precinct had to assign an "Inside Poll Monitor" to watch
the vote. As I said in my original post, my "hubby" did that duty for six hours. There was a judge for the Repugs and the Dems in the polling place...but we never saw a Dem Activist Lawyer.

Now, our polling place was designated as "Non-Contested" but nevertheless where were all the ones who were on the ground all over the US...thousands we were told...where were they?

I know their were problems in NC...(only slight ones..but still a few in my "safe" polling place) but not a WORD TODAY! And, Kerry concedes? After knowing that many of his "worker bees" on the ground were there all because of what happened in Florida!

It boggles my mind and makes me angry. What the Hell was this all about, anyway?

The Dean/Kucinich folks that I worked with switched over to Kerry and they were the ones who had the internet tools and savy to get our local Dem Operation up to speed. But, they used us and me and my hubby...and I never heard a word of thanks from them after we spend weeks worth of hours going to "training classes, etc" and canvassing day after day, poll watching, etc.

The only people who sent us e-mails after last night was one GOTV worker, who invited us to a fairwell party and a Dean Operative inviting us to a meeting for Action for America..

No one from Downtown Dem Headquarters offered condolences or thanked us...They SUCK DNC/DLC! I've had it with them!

12. it was 130,000 votes
Face it people, we lost.

If Kerry thought he had a mathematically chance of winning, he would have fought.

130,000 votes is not the 537 vote margin we saw in florida.

17. I don't think they expected 6 Million new republican voters?
They were probably thinking more in terms of what happened in 2000. This them the Repugs knew they had registered more voters so they didn't work as hard to keep Floridians from voting.

19. It's a symbiotic relationship.
The Dems can't fight anymore because to do so would endanger the corporate teat that the party sucks at.
