I'm sick of their misusing the phrase "Moral Values"
As in, "Democrats don't campaign on Moral Values; B* is more forthcoming about Moral Values," blah blah blah....

It's not about Moral Values. There needs to be another phrase, like Religious Posturing or Fundamentalist Pandering or Sanctimonious Meddling.

"Moral Values," as far as I'm concerned, do not include lying, attacking, stealing, torturing, or killing. And I don't think they should be called "Christian" values, either.

2. How about "Public Piety?"
I have no idea why so many people fall for this stuff, but they do.

3. christian
Christ put the worst sin as hypocrisy.

These fundies are worried about homosexuality and abortion above hypocrisy and all the things you mentioned. If I got my bible right that all came from a dream Paul had, a Roman/Pharisee evangelist who never even met Christ but added all kinds of junk which is for some reason given precedence over the empathize, tolerate, forgive and love messages of Christ in the Gospels.

Jesus was a liberal, communist who rebelled against the Romans and Pharisees. So many churches are becoming what he stood against.

America was formed by rebels against a dictatorial empire and the corporatocracy and monopoly of the colonial corporations like the East Indies Company and Hudson Bay Company. Yet here we are emulating the roman and british empires, taking on distant colonies and increasingly dominated by giant colluding corporations. The country too has become everything we started out being against.

Corruptions or are they corrosions? But how long can our speeding-up, overstressed world stand for it? It would eventually collapse on it's own since the corporate economy is based on digging minerals out of the ground and transforming it using energy thats also dug out of the ground.

Sorry to be a bummer but for some reason I'm in a foul mood lately.
