Shrub WAS at 90% Approval At One Point |
|
At the very least we have brought him down from 'God' status. Remember when shrubs reelection was a foregone conclusion? Remember when Dems were talking about who to 'sacrifice' in the election? Well, we've come a LOOONG way from that.
Yes, I know, little consolation - but it is a testimony to the fact that we were able to wake up MUCH of America - just not quite enough.

according to the CNN exit poll number he had a 53% approval rating, although only 51% voted for him.
We came so close, 2-3 percentage points more and he was toast.

3. Right, November 2 came during an unforseen upswing |
|
The polls hinted at an approval uptick in the final two weeks. I started noticing it in 3 day tracking polls beginning October 17. By last weekend, most of the late ones put him 50% or slightly above.
God knows why. There was nothing but bad news from Iraq and elsewhere. I think it's just a case of an incumbent given the benefit of a doubt in this age of irrational fear.
