O.K. I'm Convinced, Am Downgrading to Basic Cable, No Faux

Yeah-yeah, I've "monitored" LIMBOsevic since he went national in the '80s, and I've ranted and raved over O'LEILLY. And whenever anybody has kvetched, "Why do you LISTEN to them," I've always answered, "Because I'm monitoring."

Well, I have HAD it. I'm downgrading the cable package, down 50 channels never watched, just to get rid of Faux-Propaganda Network. This is Dish. And the CEO (Charlie?) supposedly LISTENS.

There are SOME wingnuts I could listen to--------LIMBO, O'REILLY (the "populist"/Independent)-----but there are others that are NOT listenable-to-------HANNITY, O.NORTH, LIDDY. So this is a major step, that O'LIELLY is OFF the list. (I realize that LIMBO is not on Faux.) There's nothing else I need to find on Faux-----not Rita, not Geraldo. May my pennies bankrupt MURDOCH and AILES.

Hey how about just purchasing the cable channlels the you want. Why should we pay for cable that we don't use?

3. I WISH That "a la carte" Were an Option

Dish goes by "packages". I *never* watch SCORES of outlets, only the "news" whores, Discovery, Comedy, etc., etc. About 6 outlets out of 150.

go one step lower than basic cable! No cable!
TO be honest I still have cable TV, but that's just because I can't get highspeed internet without it. I get the local channels C-Span 1 & 2 and a load of QVC types. No fox news, no CNN, no MSNBC. What would you be missing?

Dish has Lockout channel option in the menu. Go in and lock out the channels you do not wish to appear in your channel guide.
If you don't watch anything else, fine, downgrade it to save some money. But if it's only a matter of removing it from your site, it's in the software.

6. good luck, when I downgraded Faux was THE news channel for basic

cable here. But it finally got me to switch to DishNetwork where I can watch WorldLink and Free Speech TV !!
