2. Until someone provides a real source
it's just a rumor.

The votes tallied in Florida are already about 1.5 million above 2000 -- that's up 25%. It seems unlikely that there are another 1.5 million out there.

3. that's right, but if they were counted winning would be a long shot
so Kerry quit

Carmelo is open for a three-pointer at the buzzer to win! But no! He decides it would be a long shot so he holds the ball and loses instead.

Gutless quitter traitor bastard.

7. or Kerry could have made the greatest PR move in recent history..
a la Nixon in 1960. Get the media off your back, then fight like hell behind the scenes.

5. I heard this on MSNBC at about 10pm last night
then they never mentioned it again...was just totally forgotten about...when they called FL, I kept saying WHAT ABOUT THE ABSENTEES?!?! What about the PROVISIONALS!?! I know of 3 freinds that voted absentee for Kerry. They haven't been counted yet!
From what I understand, they dont get counted until THURSDAY. Who knows how many thousands will be just arbitrarily thrown out between now and then....but we'll have no way to prove shit.

10. Here's a short article from the miami herald today ...
Gov. Bush orders more counting machines to tabulate absentee ballots

The slow pace of absentee ballot counting in Miami-Dade County prompted Gov. Jeb Bush early this morning to issue an executive order authorizing the county to bring in additional counting machines to get the ballots tabulated by Thursday.

State officials expressed alarm that Miami-Dade would not be able to complete the tabulation of nearly 100,000 ballots by the deadline for unofficial results. The number of uncounted ballots was enough to make a possible difference in the U.S. Senate race between Mel Martinez and Betty Castor. Martinez has already claimed victory, and Castor is holding out, citing the large number of uncounted votes.

(she has conceded since, I believe)

So, Miami-Dade alone has 100,000 absentee ballots ... what about other counties?

11. Also, saw a headline in Orlando Sentinel that said ACLU filed suit
asking that absentee ballots mailed by Florida officials too late for voters to return them by the deadline should still be counted.

(Didn't read whole story; didn't feel like registering)
