we need a karl rove on our side |
|
and we need to start now just like he did in 2000. everything that has transpired was his orchestration. when bush thanked him in his acceptance speech today-it's all too clear and diabolical - from the 527's on down. repeating lies over and over until they are beheld as fact imagine his talent pushing justice and truth throughout the country
our handicap was the media, we cannot use them. must find a way

1. The Rajin Cajun should come back into the fold in 2008 |

I'd quote his thoughts on Nader, but that would not be a unifying thing.

5. we need a whole bunch of Karl Roves |
|
working at various levels
we need other infrastructure as well: media outlets (AAR is a great start), think tanks (the current so-called "liberal" think tanks are actually centrist-corporatist, more push-the-envelope pundits, a network of daily talking points.
we need to unite two or three or four constituencies, perhaps workers or environmentalists or civil libertarians in much the way the Right has coopted fundy religious wackos, anti-choice zealots and gun nuts.
we need a focused, small set of recurring six- or seven-word slogans designed to be repeated ad nauseum and to appeal to these constituencies.
we need to be willing to say anything and do anything to get elected.
and we need a bunch of Karl Roves--he's the major leaguer with a whole system of minor leaguers under him--hundreds of them around the country collaborating.
