There are Rage machines you can join, coming very soon. I am vascilating between creating one of my own, or joining another aligned with my philosophy. One idea I have had is:

Create a State ballot initiative to Secede from the Union. I'll need to get $150,000 signatures, which I can get, for $1 per signature from people coming out of Safeway, or Albertsons, by hiring people to collect the signatures. I'll have to get contributors for the cause. Compared to the millions spent for the Pres elections, $150K is nothing. When the measure is described as:
"Whereas, the State of California, does not wish to support, or promote invasion of sovereign nations, without provocation, we hereby wish to secede from the union of the United States of America." More legal details on the constitional congress and so on, but even getting this on the ballot will make the Pres piss in his Depends.

But I would love to secede. :( If it's out there, I'll pay the lousy buck and sign the petition and see if we end up on the receiving end of Civil War redux. :(

My fundy mother would piss her pants, too. Eastern California is a bit red, but I think we should take the Sierra Nevada. The freeps won't take care of this rich country.

Oh...and we outlaw voting machines.
