Just so it's clear: no one got tricked into voting for bush! NO ONE! |
|
I have read it a few times already here and there: basically decent people, but clueless so they got "tricked" into voting for him.
No. Nope. Not buying it.
UNLESS their IQ puts them in the actual categories of retardation, mild or moderate (severe probably wouldn't be voting--for that matter, moderate might not be, either) THERE IS NO EXCUSE.
None. It's not like we haven't had this guy for four years. It's not like most of them didn't have at least ONE sane family member sending them emails or loaning them F 9/11 or talking to them on a regular basis, clearing the Fox delusions out of their head or attempting to anyway.
For those of you with family members who voted for *, you have my sympathy. I don't have much family beyond my husband and daughter, but I do know my mother in law voted for him. Fortunately she lives far away and I am not close to her. In fact, just today, after her latest "Jane Fonda is a traitor" email, I blocked her email address. So no more of that shit from her.
Again, please do not make excuses for people who voted for bush. They knew what they were doing and they knew what they were voting for.

1. You saw the massive pile of LIES BushCo. told in campaign stops |
|
and in advertisements ... piles and piles of lies lies lies for months and months ... a lot of Bush voters don't read anything ... they get their news from Fox (more lies).
So, yes, they WERE tricked into voting for Bush. But they still bear the responsibility, since they didn't respect our country enough to do the research that would have shown them that their plaster saint is a lying sack of shit!

3. Your last paragraph is key |
|
they are ADULTS and presuming they have more than say, five brain cells to rub together they COULD HAVE researched the issues, found him out in some of his lies.
But they didn't. So my point stands-they were not tricked.
Saying they were tricked lets them off the hook. And I'm not letting anyone off the hook for voting for this shit.

4. You're right. They're mostly self righteous white racists... |
|
...with a few Uncle Toms thrown in. Their excuses are bullshit. What they are really saying is, "straight, white, Christian, homeowners should come first and everybody else go to the end of the line."

5. Moonbeam two things startle me |
|
One that it was close enough for them to cheat a victory from our hands and number two, what if people really did vote this way, both opitions are terrifying to me, btw check your pm.
