What would happen if (god forbid) there's a terrorist attack in the US? |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 03:43 AM by pabloseb
I'm convinced that the chimp's policies INCREASE the risk of an attack in the US and unfortunately it is likely that such an attack will take place in the next 4 years. How would people react? Would they finally realize that the chimp has donde nothing to protect us, or would he be crowned again as a hero with a 90% approval?

Of course.
9/11 happened because Bush needed it. The 2002 election, Bush's campaign, and the election results should make this very apparent to just about anyone.

Fool me once, won't get fooled again!
9/11 took everyoneby surprise. People will be much more critical the next time. There are expectations to be lived up to now.

5. It will be John Kerrys fault.. |
|
just like the village idot sending the troops to Iraq without body armor was his fault even though Bush sent them there that way and the bill Kerry voted against still passed and the troops STILL don't have the equipment they need.

6. bush & Cartel would be history. |
|
And I like IMPEACHMENT even more than losing the election.
IMPEACHMENT is much more of a SHAME for bush and puts him right in with his #1 Most Hated Person, Bill Clinton.
Only, Clinton was found NOT GUILTY. :)

7. Impeachment with vast repug majorities in congress? |
|
As much as I'd like to see it, I don't believe it. We can always hope for a democratic landslide in 2006, but honestly that doesn't seem very likely right now.

We the People still DO have awesome power. The Republican reps & senators get THEIR jobs through We the People and they LOSE their jobs through WE the People.
Another attack would expose bush for what he really is, and We the People would demand impeachment, and to save their jobs (and their Party), the republican majorities would impeach bush.

11. not IF but rather WHEN |
|
we'll have another one -- wouldn't be surprised if it happens in next couple of months
although I do not put much stock in the "warning signs" the bush* mis-administration touts -- here's what they have been saying
--- there was an increase in "chatter" up until late October
--- Bin-Laden tape shows up -- showing bin-laden alive, well and looking good. This was not a cut/paste video clip of Bin-Laden sitting on a pile of rocks
--- chatter has all but gone silent
Meanwhile -- scuttlebutt is that Powell will be out on his butt come the new year, which means any voice of moderation and sanity in the bush* mis-adminstration will be gone and the YEEEHAW-foreign policy will begin in earnest

12. I'll delve into the idiot mindset here |
|
"It must mean Bush is doing something right if the terrorists still hate us, anyone who wants to change policy so the evil-doers don't attack us is a traitor. We must kill more of those jeebus-hatin' ragheads so they don't attack us. blah blah"

16. I think another terror attack is imminent...no matter who is in the WH |
|
These extremists hate America. They will continually try to find weaknesses, and it's only a matter of time before they find one.
The odds are on their side. Our security has to foil every attempt, while they just have to have one success.
It will happen.
