* won because he increased his percent of 30-44 and 60 and up from 2000.

Why no posts blasting them?

1. Because everybody loves
a scapegoat.

As an old fart I'd like offer my greatest thanks to the young folks who were the only age bracket to break for Kerry.

7. I agree
I place the blame where I think it surely belongs and that would be the news media.
They did the exact same to Gore, then they did it to Kerry this time around.

And I also blame Rove for all the down and dirty campaign tricks he has done his whole miserable life.

God has reserved a special place in Hell for him, and he will be sharing a bed with Lee Atwater!!!

3. because our own fucking party doesn't speak to them.
We need to speak to the needs of those who the party represents. We need to speak to the true concerns of minorities, young adults, and the working class to truly crush the opposition.

5. I think it was a couple of things
All of them resulting from the same cause: unrealistic expectations. For months on DU there has been the belief that the cell phone only under 30 crowd would show up en masse to save the day. Despite that fact that <30 year olds DID show up in record number and DID vote for Kerry, it didn't happen like many had hoped it would. Also the Eminem video that had an army of black hoodie youth marching to vote built on people's false hopes. The fact is that the under 30 crowd just doesn't much vote - they never do. It was silly to expect them to override all the asshole 40 year olds who do vote, and voted for Chimpy.

6. I blame our message
with didn't resonate with enough people to get them to vote for us, especially in sates in the Midwest, rocky mountains, and south.

And the party leadership is responsible for that message. they FAILED US.

We need to rebuild from the ground up.
