Political ads on TV and radio must go through a review board first

America was duped by the negative political ads used by the Bush campaign against Kerry.

During many tabling events through the election season, people who supported Bush could pretty much indicate their only information about Kerry was through the Bush ads.

During the primaries, ads on all sides attacked the other candidates with half-truths and outright lies.

We need to immediately start setting up a review board that looks at political ads and sets standards. If the political ad is to be played anyway, a disclaimer that the ad is not truthful would need to be displayed and have a banner saying the ad is not truthful (if a TV ad).

Like the FDA reviews medicine before it is released for consumption, this review board would act as the same.
