2. Please... a lot of people who LIVE IN RED STATES did not vote for Bush
And those of us that live Red don't necessarily want to MOVE to another state just to tilt the balance. I happen to really like living in Texas.

5. Moving from a "Red State" would the wrong thing to do.
If anything, people need to move TO the so-called red states.

8. Right, but we are all paying right now...
...this plan would limit the pain to fewer people both overall and in the Red States themselves.

As a forward thinking, blue-hearted Dem, you could be one of the ones with the great ideas to foster new business in your state so that they could see the way of Blue.

Most of these states are rural and agrarian. Neither the Dems nor the Reps are helping them with their financial crises and the only reason they voted for ShrubCo was they could at least identify with the religious craziness. So we show them how to make money on their farms again. My idea: legalize growing commercial-grade hemp and/or increase biomass fuel use. These states are ripe to produce it and would gain independence instead of dependence on Federal handouts.

3. We don't have to do anything.
They're suffering now. They'll suffer more over the next 4 years and beyond.

6. Those of us in Texas are already suffering from having Bush as governor
where he ran the state into the ground.

7. you know what bugs the shit out of them?
Buy rural property and post it "No hunting - no trespassing." Vacation in rural areas and patronize the few coffee houses, twee little shops, art galleries and decent restaurants that cater only to tourists and not locals. Build vacation homes that are much nicer than their homes. I am only partly joking here.
