It's actually amazing how close Kerry came to denying Bush |
|
Kerry has 252 electoral votes and had we won Ohio, which went to Bush by only 2-pts (and it may even be tighter than that when all votes are counted) Kerry would have won the electoral vote and been president.
He would still have lost the popular vote, but what is good for the Goose (Bush) is good for the Gander (Kerry).
It is times like this that day after quarterbacking starts in. Given the fact that the Bush crime family controls Florida, should we have not put as much emphazise there and put even more time and $$ into Ohio?? Would it have made a difference? as it is Kerry spent a good deal of time in Ohio, so I'm not sure. But I really think it could have been won and Kerry would be president-elect.

popular vote to avoid an electoral college issue. So if you cut two percent across the board, Kerry would have a large electoral vote win and a one percent popular vote loss.
