man murdered because he didn't believe in god

http://www.freep.com/news/cfp/3/vshoot28_20041028.htm

-snip-

A 49-year-old man said he'd just blasted a man with a revolver and a shotgun because the man said he didn't believe in God.

The dispatcher said the alleged shooter told him he'd just shot "the devil himself" and was still armed and standing over the body of the 62-year-old victim "in case he moved."

"I want to make sure he's gone," the alleged shooter told the dispatcher.

-snip-

"I did it because he is evil; he was not a believer," the suspect told police.

3. We will see much more of this kind of thing
The cat is out of the bag now; not believing is un-American, and although out-and-out endorsement of this kind of thing won't be in the offing anytime soon, the climate of the times will allow for much more leniency in prosecution, conviction and sentencing.

Religious certainty on a society-wide scale is the most dangerous thing in human culture. Many cynics in the right who thought they could use the fundies as a controllable power source will get quite a comeuppance. There will probably be some kind of provisional acceptance of Jews, which will assuage the fears of PNACers and others, but Muslims and non-believers will encounter endless and increasing roadblocks.

Hate won this election, and that needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
